The Buzzing I Couldn’t Ignore

I always considered myself a calm person. It was like a superpower of mine. At least, that’s what I thought—until my new smart ring told me otherwise...

The data showed multiple hours of stress every single day. My first reaction was disbelief: What? Stress? My superpower is Calm! I don’t have anything in my life right now that should be stressing me out. Yet, my body told a different story. I began to notice a buzzing in my chest, a subtle vibration that seemed to whisper back, Lisha, this isn’t stress—it’s anxiety.

Naturally, I turned to the tools I already knew well. Since I teach breathwork, meditation, and energy balancing for stress relief, I turned to these. They were helpful but didn’t touch the underlying root of what I was experiencing.

So, I began searching. I started a Bible plan called Victory Over Anxiety by Charles Stanley. It didn’t eliminate the anxiety, but it gave me the idea to dig deeper. That’s when I discovered something that changed everything: my anxiety was not about my present circumstances at all. It was old—rooted in an early childhood experience my young brain had never been able to process.

That experience stemmed from a simple but profound need—to be nurtured. As a child, I didn’t have the ability to understand or resolve the pain of that unmet need. My body carried it forward, quietly buzzing in the background of my life. Although I had no conscious memory of it, my body remembered. Through the training and tools I had learned, I was able to uncover, work through, and finally release that trapped emotion.

When that release happened, the results were undeniable. My smart ring suddenly reflected peace—no excessive stress readings for a few days. Was that the end of my story? Not at all. I found I had many more anxiety layers to release. But that first breakthrough showed me the truth. Anxiety is often an unprocessed echo of the past, and with the right tools, it can be released.

Today, my anxiety is no longer running the show—it’s tamed, understood, and released. My smart ring now reflects what I actually feel: calm, balanced, and restored. This is a screenshot of my stress levels before I began this process, and one from last week. The hours of stress are shown in white, and restorative time in blue—the difference speaks for itself.

What about you—could there be anxiety quietly hiding beneath the surface? If this resonates, stay tuned for more. If you know someone who might benefit from this kind of restoration, please feel free to share it with them. We all deserve the chance to release what may be keeping us stuck.

With peace,

Lisha
